The Tremiti Islands are an Italian archipelago in the Adriatic Sea, north of the Gargano Peninsula. It consists of five main islands, each with its own distinct character. San Domino and San Nicola are the only inhabited islands, while Caprara, Cretaccio, and Pianosa are wild, protected nature reserves.
The Pontine Islands (or Ponziane) are a stunning volcanic archipelago off the coast of the Lazio region, divided into two groups: the populated hubs of Ponza and Ventotene, and the wild, mostly pristine nature reserves of Palmarola, Zannone, Santo Stefano, and Gavi.
The Maddalena Archipelago is a cluster of over 60 pristine islands and islets off the northeastern coast of Sardinia. Famous for its turquoise sea and pure white sand, it is a protected area established as the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park in 1994.
The Pelagian Islands are Italy’s southernmost archipelago. Located in the Mediterranean Sea closer to Africa than mainland Sicily, they comprise three distinct islands: Lampedusa, Linosa, and Lampione
